A 4.8 star rating doesn't tell you much about whether a program is right for your family.
It doesn't tell you whether the coach believes in equal playing time or merit-based lineups. It doesn't tell you whether practices are relaxed and fun or demanding and intense. It doesn't tell you whether this league travels across the state or stays within your neighborhood.
That's why we built League Culture.
What is League Culture?
League Culture is a set of 5 sliders that each organization on Klubbi fills out โ describing their program across five dimensions:
- Playing Time: Equal play โ Merit-based
- Competitive Intensity: Recreational โ Elite competitive
- Practice Intensity: Casual & fun โ High intensity
- Season Commitment: One season โ Year-round
- Coaching Style: Developmental โ Results-focused
Each organization writes their own description of where they sit on each dimension and why.
There is no right or wrong
A program that scores 95/100 on Competitive Intensity is perfect for one family and completely wrong for another. A program at 10/100 might be exactly what a 6-year-old trying their first sport needs.
League Culture doesn't rank programs. It describes them โ so you can filter by what matters to your family.
How to use it
On any org's profile page, scroll down to the League Culture section. You'll see the 5 sliders and the organization's own explanation of their position. Read their notes โ they often give you the real picture.
